FLEXICOIL 5000 AND 5500*** AIR HOE DRILLS AND COMPATIBLE MODEL MACHINES
Manutec has two aftermarket replacement tyres (3 inch and 4 inch) that will directly fit onto the FLEXICOIL rims.
These tyres are far more durable than the original FLEXICOIL tyres and are designed to give longer life in hard rocks and stubble.
Codes are 22PW100GFSD (4 INCH TYRE) and 22PW80GFSD (3 INCH TYRE)
The advantages of the Manutec tyres are;
- Direct fitment onto FLEXICOIL Rims
- Stubble and Stone resistant tyre (Solid Rubber)
- Value for money
When fitting the Manutec tyres ensure that the tyres are pre-warmed overnight or left in the sun on a hot day. Ideally the tyres should feel quite hot and they should be allowed enough time so that the internal temperature of the tyre is also hot. This will make the tyres more flexible and much easier to fit. Definitely do not try to fit the tyres on a cold morning or leave them in a freezing shed overnight before fitting as most likely you will damage the tyres and make fitting a very difficult process.
If your gangs have reached end of life and are considered beyond repair then a Manutec Air Hoe Drill conversion is an economical way to extend the life of your machine. Manutec carries components for all standard spacing gangs. Do not confuse the standard Manutec Gang Conversions, these are suitable for 820 FLEXICOIL gangs but are not suitable for Air Hoe Drills. One important note is that Manutec Air Hoe Drill conversions have been designed to be cross compatible with all of the North American Brands of Air Hoe Drills, so the conversion is not going to be a perfect match and some small modifications may be required. Similarly the shape and dimensions of the Manutec tyre is designed to replace both the 3″ and 4″ tyres and is made of high durability rubber. ***Note*** The MANUTEC AIR HOE DRILL GANG CONVERSIONS will fit reasonably easily on to a FLEXICOIL 5000, however on a FLEXICOIL 5500 it is not a straight forward process because of the walking arm design. A reasonable amount of modification is required and really both gangs on the walking beam should be replaced at the same time due to weight differences between the original FLEXICOIL gangs and the MANUTEC gangs. As this is not a straight forward process we do not recommend doing the conversion at the last minute just before seeding.
FLEXICOIL PD5700 PRECISION AIR DRILL AND COMPATIBLE MODELS
Manutec has a range of aftermarket compatible replacement parallelogram wheels and hubs for the Flexicoil Precision Seed Drills.
A range of interchangeable shapes are available including round, flat, wedge, vee and paired row. The Manutec wheels can be fitted directly to the later Flexicoil Ford Pattern Hubs, or if your hubs have reached end of life or require significant maintenance then Manutec offers two different Zero Maintenance AgriHub conversions to replace the existing Flexicoil hubs and stubs. One conversion enables you to fit your existing Flexicoil press wheels to the Manutec Zero Maintenance Agrihubs and the other requires you to change to the Manutec press wheels. One good point to note here is that if you use the first option you can still at a later date use the Manutec wheels if you so choose by knocking the studs out. If you have the earlier model Flexicoils that did not use the 5 stud hub then you will need to do the full conversion. This involves a new arm, new zero maintenance hub and new wheel.

All Manutec parallelogram wheels comprise a high strength alloy 2 piece rim and a user replaceable tyre. Manutec tyres are made in a number of different grades designed to operate in wet and also dry conditions. For most farmers doing both wet and dry seeding we recommend the SS high durability tyres. All hubs used in FLEXICOIL conversions are Zero Maintenance AgriHubs.

FLEXICOIL ST820 AND COMPATIBLE MODEL MACHINES
Manutec has been fitting aftermarket press wheels and coulters to the FLEXICOIL range since they were first introduced into the Australian market. Additionally Manutec has gang conversion systems available to extend the life of the original poly packers or to fit a more appropriate tyre shape to your farming conditions and many of the parts on Manutec’s gang arms are compatible with the original Flexicoil gang arms. The other good news is that all Manutec press wheels and coulters are available as part of the Manutec Zero Maintenance range of products.
