Assembly – The Gang Press Wheel Assembly is a tried and tested means of fitting press wheels to the rear of the bar. The modern gang comes in to its own due to its versatility in being able to be quickly attached or released to the rear of a bar. Many machines already have harrows in some form fitted and for those owners wanting the versatility of press wheels or harrows or nothing in a quick detach unit, then gangs are a good option. Gangs are available in a range of standard spacings and sizes, or can be tailored to an individual set up if required. Manutec Gangs come standard with 18 inch nylon bush press wheels running on shaft pillow blocks. Any of the tyres from Manutecs 18 inch range can be selected however we normally recommend the 3 inch and above profiles in the semi-solid or solid materials, unless the customer has specific needs dictating narrower or softer tyres.

Tyre – 80mm wide mid range wedge semi-solid tyre. This tyre is a medium pressure tyre suited to abrasive conditions where cleanability is not an issue. Tyre will give good average results across a range of soil and climatic conditions, although this tyre will build up in sticky soil as it has no ability to self clean. Tyre is good for moisture seeking and seed pressing in most conditions. Tyre has a tendency to leave paddocks rough, which is a necessity of the moisture channelling. This tyre is well suited to most seeding methods, points and boots. Recommended for very abrasive soils, for hard rock see solid version of this tyre.
