Assembly – Inframe Press Wheels are most widely used where there is a need to put the press wheel right in behind the tyne. They are also a popular method of adding a rear mounted swivel press wheel capability to either a new or an existing bar where a seed boot capability is required in front of the press wheel. The popularity of these units is due to the fact that they give a cost effective means of either getting the press wheel in close behind the tyne without many of the unpleasant side affects normally associated with tyne mounts or parrallelograms. They are also popular for sowing small seed where the ability to sow off the press wheel gives much better depth control. The adjustable nature of the wheel and optional seed tube also provides a great deal of flexibility to seed placement and where the pressure can be applied. The single swivel arm design ensures that the unit is capable of clearing most obstacles and that a very even pressure is maintained across the width of the machine. All units come standard configured as a swivel or following unit, if no swivel is desireable then a simple kit is applied to lock out the swivel. This ensures that the unit can be easily reconfigured as a swivel unit at a later date. The units can be configured for low pressure (15kg) or high pressure (40kg), however most units are run at an average pressure of between 20 and 25kg. A choice of 15, 16 or 18 inch wheel sizes is available with a large number of tyre options. These units come standard Zero Maintenance Agri-Hub Press Wheels fitted. A range of other accessories including seed boots are available to augment performance in some marginal conditions.

Tyre – 100mm wide flat solid tyre. This tyre is a low pressure tyre suited to dry conditions. Tyre will give an even pressure footprint over the 100mm of tyre face. Tyre has a tendency to bring soil back over the seed (desireable in most areas). This tyre is well suited to split or spread row seeding in either high abrasion or rough conditions. Recommended for very abrasive soils or rough conditions. Not recommended in highly sticky conditions as build up will occur.
