This is a generic code, more specific information on parts is available by clicking through the various sections.  This page gives a summary of what we have available for various MORRIS machines.  Alternatively if you use the enquire now button above one of our staff will call you to discuss which size wheels, which tyre profiles, which discs and which hubs are most suitable for your conditions and what type of assembly will best suit your conditions. You are welcome to call and speak to one of our staff at any time.  Manutec has a long history of working with Australian farmers to fit a range of aftermarket parts to MORRIS farm machinery and has experience to help farmers make the machines work more efficiently for better results and less downtime.  If there is a product that you need and you do not see it here, you are welcome to call and discuss with our product development specialists.

Purchasing aftermarket parts for your machinery can be a daunting task, so if you are not sure please give us a call.  We know what questions to ask you about your farm to help you make the correct decision.  We believe that every farm is different and it is important to understand what is going to work best on your farm.  We can also discuss your machinery and which type of assembly is best.

  1. Soil Types (Sandy/Non-Wetting Sands/Sandy Loams/Loam Clay/Sand over Clay/Red Clay/Grey Clay/Black Soils/Granite Soils)
  2. Rock Types (Lime Stone/Granite/Iron Stone/Sand Stone)
  3. Trash Levels

Parts in our Aftermarket MORRIS range are part of the Manutec Zero Maintenance range.

MORRIS CONTOUR (C1,C2,C3), CX8105, QUANTUM AND COMPATIBLE MODELS

Manutec has a range of aftermarket compatible replacement parallelogram wheels and hubs for the MORRIS CONTOUR (C1, C2, C3), CX8105 seeding system and the QUANTUM (plus any compatible models).

A range of interchangeable shapes are available including round, flat, wedge, vee and paired row.  The Manutec wheels can be fitted directly to the Morris Hub, or if your hubs have reached end of life or require significant maintenance then Manutec offers a Zero Maintenance AgriHub conversion to replace the existing Morris hubs and stubs.  Pictures of the conversion are in the gallery.

The advantages of the Manutec system are:

  • tyres tailored to your farming conditions
  • direct fitment to compatible Morris models (no modification or new hubs required)
  • Zero Maintenance AgriHubs to replace existing Morris hubs if required
  • all parts fully replaceable, allowing for lower through life costs
  • all parts are readily available and stocked on location in Adelaide
  • value for money

All Manutec parallelogram wheels comprise a high strength alloy 2 piece rim and a user replaceable tyre.  Manutec tyres are made in a number of different grades designed to operate in wet and also dry conditions.  For most farmers doing both wet and dry seeding we recommend the SS high durability tyres. All hubs used in MORRIS conversions are Zero Maintenance AgriHubs.

Also currently under development is a hydraulic coulter system to suit these machines,

In the more information section below there is an information sheet that shows some of the shapes.

MORRIS CONCEPT 9000 AND ANY COMPATIBLE MODELS

Manutec has been fitting press wheels and coulters to the Concept range since they were first introduced into the Australian market.  Additionally Manutec has gang conversion systems available to extend the life of the original poly packers or to fit a more appropriate tyre shape to your farming conditions.  The other good news is that all Manutec press wheels and coulters are available as part of the Manutec Zero Maintenance range of products.  More information on all press wheel and coulter systems to suit the MORRIS CONCEPT is available on this website.

The advantage of the Manutec press wheel and coulter systems for the MORRIS CONCEPT are;

  • Direct Fitment for some models
  • Can be adapted and modified to suit different farming conditions.
  • More adjustment than original manufacturers parts
  • Zero Maintenance Options
  • Reduced through life costs
  • Spare parts and support in Australia
  • Designed and proven in Australia on Australian farms

Press Wheel and Coulter systems include;

  • complete bolt on gang press wheel systems
  • gang conversions to extend the life of existing MORRIS gangs
  • twin walking press wheels
  • single independent rear mounted press wheels
  • inframe mounted press wheels (with optional seeding attachments)
  • parallelogram press wheels
  • single and twin coulter systems
  • tyne mounted press wheels

MORRIS MAXIM AIR HOE DRILLS AND COMPATIBLE MODEL MACHINES

Manutec has developed a complete gang replacement system that economically replaces all of the gang wheels with a more durable system and at a more economical price.  The Manutec system is a two piece split steel rim and durable rubber tyre assembled onto a higher rated shaft and bearing system. For more information or to discuss your needs please call.  On this website there is a generic Air Hoe Drill gang replacement section that fully explains the Manutec system, there are a few photos from a MAXIM Air Hoe Drill conversion in the gallery.  In this case the original Maxim steel press wheels were replaced with Manutec high durability 100mm rubber press wheels.

For a press wheel tyres fact sheet, scroll down to More Information and click on Press Wheels Info Sheet and a pdf containing detailed information on press wheel tyre selection will be downloaded.  There is also a small brochure attached.

MORRIS RAZR

Manutec Mud Razor Gauge wheels may be fitted and improve the performance of these machines in heavy soils.  Call us to discuss your needs.  Please note the coincidence in the use of the term Razor, Manutec Mud Razor products have no connection with MORRIS.  The original Mud Razor range was designed for Australian made farm machinery and has since been adapted to also be fitted to imported North American and South American farm machinery.

The advantage of the Mud Razor system are:

  • Handles heavy soil and significantly reduces plugging and blockages.
  • Keeps the disc clean, improving disc cutting efficiency
  • Stubble and Rock resistant
  • Direct Fitment
  • More adjustment than original manufacturers parts
  • Zero Maintenance

COMPLETE MAKEOVER

  • Double Disc Systems (Single Row)
  • AlphaDisc Twin Disc Systems (Double Row-Fixed)
  • Complete replacement Tyne and Parallelogram Seeding Unit (Currently at Prototype testing)
  • New bolt on Parallelogram Seeding Unit (Currently at Prototype testing)

So if you are considering rebuilding your own bar give us a call.  We can also assist you to get a new bar built using the systems above.

So why insist on Manutec products ?

  1. 100% Australian Owned for nearly 30 years and we intend to be here to support our customers for the next 30 years.  We first started working with your grandfather and then his sons and daughters and now his grandchildren
  2. Large range of options to suit all farming, conditions we do not believe in a one fit for all conditions.
  3. Our aftermarket products are not copies, they are a different product that is designed to solve problems on the original manufacturer’s machinery.  We fix other brands issues.
  4. We listen to our customers. The majority of our products are a result of listening to our customers.  We understand that Australia is not another state of the USA.
  5. We back up our products and will always answer your phone calls.
  6. All of our products are repairable, and we are working hard to implement the Zero Maintenance philosophy across the complete range of our products.  Where possible we source the best quality components from the best quality manufacturers.
  7. We carry a full range of spare parts for every product and most spare parts leave same day or next day.  In  most cases we have parts (some upgraded to the latest spec) for products that are 30 years old and if we don’t we will have a work around solution. Most customers are blown away when they visit us and see how many parts and how much stock we hold.
  8. Our products are used by Australia’s leading manufacturers of farm equipment, especially those that care about their customers, more than they care about cutting costs.
  9. On-site Rapid Prototyping (3D Print) and Machining Centres
  10. We field test all new design prototypes for as long as it takes to get the product farm ready for Australian conditions.
  11. Manutec does not require deposits or down payments to take and start work on your order, we carry the financial risk not you.
  12. All of our farming customers are given an account after their first order, allowing an accurate history of all complete assemblies and spare parts for every customer. So when you ring, we already know the parts you most likely need.  As an account customer all parts aim to be out same day or next day and no pre-payment is required, meaning you get your parts quicker.

So what should you be wary of ?

  1. When you are buying equipment from overseas, consider how that machine is going to be supported when you have breakdowns and the time delay in getting parts and the cost of those parts.
  2. The above also applies to some “fly by night” local companies.  Are they going to be able to deliver in the first place and will they be around when you need parts ?  Will they answer your phone when you need them ?
  3. Beware of manufacturers both local and overseas that have a one fit suits all approach to designing farm equipment.  Australian farms are very different from East to West and from North to South and very different to North American and European farms.
  4. Beware of Australian manufacturers that use componentry from overseas that could be sourced in Australia.  There is a good chance those components will not be available when you need them and that the cost will be high.
